Starting forward in the boat is the head. It is entirely of fiberglass and may be washed down with the hand held shower nozzle. The seat above the toilet folds down when you are using the shower and theire is a hatch above. We sometimes hang the solar shower above the hatch. There are two cabinets to port beside the mirror over the sink. (you cannot see the second cabinet. The forward bulkhead has a mirror and below that access to the holding tank, shower sump filter and pump and through hulls. Forward of that and accessible only from deck is the chain locker and windlass. The port side photo at left below shows the two cabinets and sink. Their is stowage below the sink where the toilet paper is kept to protect it from the shower. The faucet may be pulled out to be used as a hand shower or may be clipped to a fixture on the aft bulkhead to serve as a fixed shower.
The starboard side shower shows the third cabinet and the fixture that holds the hand shower. |

At left is a picture of the forward (master) berth. You can just see the open door of the forward head on the right. The settee is usually hidden by a hammock we sling between the hanging locker and the bulkhead and keep swimsuits, towels and laundry on. At lower left, you see a picture of the forward bed. I put two nav station lights on bendable arms for reading lights which you can see on the aft bulkhead at right. We keep a portable shortwave radio and an ipod player, our glasses and a few books. Their are at least 4 sets of these sheets; we have not used and don't have a blanket. The mattress was made in two parts in St. Martin and is a spring matress (which avoids the problem of foam matress getting mold. It is not very comfortable however and I might consider getting a smoother one. The bed is long enough for me (6'4" tall) and you enter from the side (pullman style). The white thing next to the ipod player is a fan. You can see a fixed port at the shelf level and an opening port above. There is a big hatch immediately above suitable for viewing the stars and for ventillation in fair weather. There is also a dorade above. If it is raining, we usually leave the hatch in the forward head open to let lots of air in, you must remember to remove the towels from the head to do this.
The picture below is taken from the bed looking aft. It shows the door, hanging locker and settee. There is an ac out let on the side of the hanging locker driven from the inverter where you can charge your cell phone & ipod.. There are two big drawers under the bed. There is also storage under the settee, and "deep" storage under the bed for things you don't need often because you have to unmake the bed to get to them. The larger water tank is under the bed.

The galley runs along the port side of the main salon. You can see the forward cabin just behind Susie. Above and behind her head is the ships bell, on her right the sink (double stainless steel). Beneath the sink is storage and a trashcan. Behind her is a top opening compartment we call tupperware land. For reasons not clear to me it is water proof and has a drain in it. Just at the bulkhead is a rolling drawer where we keep pots and pans. In front of Susie is a Force 10 two burner stove with oven and broiler. It operates on propane which is kept in tanks in ventillated storage lockers in the cockpit. Further aft is the refrigerator. It is top loading and is a new Adler Barbour 12V mounted below the box. It has a small vertical evaporator which serves as the freeezer and vents through the storage compartment below the stove. (where we keep baking pans). The settee to her left faces the salon table and contains water heater (engine driven) and pumps for bilge, refrigerator, and redundant pumps and filters for the pressurized fresh water. The counters are very ugly formica and a nice upgrade would be to replace them with Corian. The wooden fish on the front of the refridgerator covers the hole left when we removed the engine driven refrigeration . Dishes and silverware are in the cupboards above and outboard of the sink and refrigerator.

This is taken from the same spot (companionway steps) and shows the starboard side of the salon. Susie is sitting where I am right now. We cut down the size of the salon table to make the seating more comfortable. There is storage in a series of cabinets behind Susie's head and below the L shaped settee she is sitting on. We have mostly food in these compartments. You can just see through the forward berth to the forward head at left. The shiny looking pole is the compression post for the mast. The corner of the nav station is just visible at right

Nav station just aft of salon table. The can at top is my "cantenna" which is a homemade wifi antenna. You can see the power panel above the seat. The HF radio is mounted on a small cutting board with non-skid so I can rotate it out for a more comfortable operating angle. There is a nav light above the table and an ICOM VHF. We keep charts in the table and commonly used supplies in the drawer above the fire extinguisher. Beneath the seat are more supplies and that compartment opens into a door that serves as seatback ie.it is an L shaped compartment which extends to the curved bulkhead. There is a shelf behind where we keep flags, batteries and flashlights, handheld radio and gps and windlass controller. The pocket at right holds ships papers, log, binoculars and camera . You can see the little white switches that control the lights in the salon. At upper right you can see a pioneer radio which plays CD's, MP3's and serves as an amplifier for the computer when we watch movies. At right is the opening to the cabin we now use as a garage. That is where the inverter, solar and wind controllers, 3 big gellcell batteries, fishing rods, foulies, life jackets, spare parts, paddles, books, snorkels and masks & so on go. It is a mess and I didn't take a picture of it. Just visible is the companionway stairs which are removed and leaned against the rope covered pole at the nav station to grant access to the start battery and the engine. |

The main salon looking aft. At. left the companionway steps and susie's hat and boat hook. The door to the guest cabin is next to the right. You can just see in. The guest berth is entered from the forward end and has a hanging locker, shelves and just enough room to stand and change clothes. The second head is behind the closed door at right. It is smaller than the forward head. There is a sink, mirror, shower handle and shower sump. |

This is my not-too-sucessful attempt to make a photo of the guest berth. I am lying on the bed and that is my knee. The little door at right provides access to the engine. You can see the settee in the salon through the door. The hanging locker is to my left. |

Just aft of hanging locker at the head of the bed are three shelves. You can see the fixed port light, fan and reading light. The light switch and ac outlet are on the aft wall of the hanging locker. We have just left Martinique and are storing French box wines on the second shelf. The guest berth also has an opening port on each side, a hatch above (too small for viewing stars) and a tall fixed port in the standing portion of the room. |
