Accommodations
Starting most forward in the master cabin is a large head and shower unit. Aft of this on the starboard side is a large double Pullman berth while opposite on the port side is a cushioned seat followed by a hanging locker. There is plenty of space in the middle of the cabin for changing and moving around. Next aft is the main salon with an L-shaped settee on the starboard side, a fixed teak table, and a love seat on the centerline for additional seating at the dining table. This seat houses all water pumps, valves and water heater as well as a storage locker. Opposite the dining area and on the port side is the straight galley with counter surface covering two large, under-counter storage lockers followed by the twin stainless steel sinks. Next aft is the 2-burner propane stove and the top-opening refrigeration unit most aft. At the base of the companionway on the starboard side is the navigation station with a large, forward-facing chart table and cushioned seat, electrical panel, and instruments. Opposite and on the port side at the base of the companionway is the day head and shower unit. Aft of the companionway on the port side is a double cabins with a hanging locker. On the starboard side, the cabin has been converted to storage. The paneling, cabinetry and trims throughout are of quality teaks while the cabin sole is surfaced with look "wear right" teak & holly. There is plentiful natural light and excellent ventilation from the many hatches and opening sideports. There is halogen lighting overhead in the salon and fans in both cabins. Remarks
The famous naval architects at Group Finot designed the Beneteau 405 to balance performance, comfort, and style. Featuring a quick and responsive hull and unencumbered deck layout, their sailing ability is delightful. The interior design takes advantage of every square inch of space and provides 2 sleeping cabins and a spacious salon. As you can read in our log, we have lived aboard and loved this boat in the Eastern Caribbean for the last eight years and tried to maintain her in better than new condition
